RF-100 Presentation Remote and RF-150 Handheld Mouse deliver reliable computer control via 2-way digital communication
ORLANDO, FL - June 3, 2003 — Wireless Computing, Inc., a leading developer of wireless computer peripherals, today released two new presentation controllers, the RF-100 Presentation Remote and RF-150 Handheld Mouse. Each features Wireless Computing's innovative 2-way digital communication technology for reliable computer control in auditoriums, conference rooms, and training rooms.
Designed primarily for PowerPoint® slideshows, the RF-100 Presentation Remote is the more basic of the two new controllers. It includes Forward and Back buttons for moving from slide to slide, and a third button that instantly blanks the screen. What's missing are extra, unnecessary buttons that would make the RF-100 more complex to use.
Presenters who want to do more than click through PowerPoint® slideshows may prefer the full mouse functions of the RF-150 Handheld Mouse. Sharing the same shape and size as the RF-100, the RF-150 replaces the RF-100's three buttons with a thumb-operated mousedisk and a pair of mouse buttons. These afford all the point-and-click control of a corded mouse, but in a handheld, cordless device.
Both of these two new presentation controllers, the RF-100 and RF-150, feature the superior performance of Wireless Computing's 2-way digital communication technology. Operating range is rated at 100 feet plus. "The handheld 'talks' to the receiver, and the receiver 'talks back' to the handheld, so every command is confirmed," explains Martin Phillips, President of Wireless Computing. "And since this is Radio Frequency (RF) technology rather than infrared, there are no line-of-sight limitations."
Everyone can appreciate the simplicity with which these products install. Plug the receiver into the computer's USB port and the computer automatically detects and begins using it. No additional software is required, and the computer does not have to be restarted. The receiver draws power from the computer's USB port, so no AC power connection is needed. And with over 32,000 randomly-assigned digital addresses, multiple RF-100s and RF-150s can be used within range of each other without risk of interference.
Compatible with both Windows® and Macintosh® computers, the RF-100 Presentation Remote and RF-150 Handheld Mouse are available through professional audiovisual resellers at a suggested retail price of $199.00. High-resolution product photos of the RF-100 suitable for print publication are available.
For the ultimate in wireless control of Windows® and Macintosh® computers, the RF-100 Presentation Remote and the RF-150 Handheld Mouse are available bundled with Wireless Computing's RF-250 Wireless Keyboard. The RF-350 Wireless Keyboard and Presentation Remote Combo is sold at a suggested retail price of $499.00. The RF-400 Wireless Keyboard and Handheld Mouse Combo is sold at a suggested retail price of $499.00.
